We aim to bring people together for a community wide reading experience which will get our community talking, foster community spirit, promote tolerance and understanding and develop appreciation for reading as the gateway that makes all other learning possible.

Getting involved in One Cavan, One Writer is really simple.
  • Read any or all of Siobhan Dowd's 4 novels
  • Share your thoughts with a reading group
  • Take part in our Many Letters creative writing competition.  
  • Enjoy one or all of the lectures we are holding during the project.
  • Subscribe to our blog and blog your comments on our site.
Choose one or all of the above activites and be a part of One Cavan, One Writer.
We celebrated Culture night in Johnston Central Library on Friday 23rd September, lauching One Cavan, One Writer. It was a great success! See images of the event.
